TAS Theatre Company consists of several sections: the choir, the opera group, the song & dance group and the folk music group. Our choir has grown from strength to strength and has more than 60 members currently. Members come from all walks of life, from housewives to retired professionals. TAS choir boasts a varied repertoire – musicals, classical songs, folk songs, modern Chinese songs and Asian pop songs. Since our choir was founded, we have staged many concerts and solo recitals. We have been invited to perform at various international arts festivals such as the North Korean Spring Friendship Arts Festival (朝鲜春天友谊艺术节). TAS Choir has also taken part in arts festivals held in Indonesia and cultural exchange programmes in Malaysia. Every year, the choir participates in the Singapore Active Ageing Festival (formerly known as Senior Citizens’ Week).
