Little Oriole Chorus of Shanxi Province, a children art troupe, was established in 1989, jointly organized by Shanxi Music and Education Association, Taiyuan City Education Committee and Yingze District Children's Palace. It was awarded repeatedly the golden medal in chorus, accompaniment and musical works in such city and provincial competitions as: the 3rd Beijing Choir Festival in 1991; China International Chorus Festival in 1992 and 1994 twice; the China Choir Festival for Children in 1994, 1997 and 1998 respectively, and was entitled the "national excellent chorus".
Wangjun and Dufei are the present conductors and tutors of vocal music for the chorus, also the members of the China Choir Committee.
